Aravis is different from most of the humans in Narnia because she comes from a land that absolutely does not believe in Aslan. In fact, the Calormenes give all their loyalty to the Tisroc (who is like a king in Calormen) and think that Aslan is a demon. Aravis’s secret symbol of faith is the complete turnaround she has to do to believe in Aslan.

Aravis has heard about Aslan, but the stories she has heard are the exact opposite of what Aslan really is. She has to go from being against Aslan to being for him, while other characters just have to go from a place of believing nothing about Aslan to finding a relationship with him. In the book, Aravis changes from being fiercely loyal to the Tisroc to believing in Aslan.
